Storms

This month has been a whirlwind. I haven't blogged the whole month. Been busy and on the move. First part of the month I went down to Wilmington for my father's heart cath then we went to AL for Eric's mother's surgery - thyroid cancer removed and all gone. Then this week I have kept my nephew for a few days and loved it. And mixed in with that a lot of other things going on so it has been pretty busy for it to be summer. One thing I do also is go to the Y in the summer and enjoy being in the sun. Love this time of the year even though it is HOT. So today I decided to sit down and blog again. The topic that came to mind was Storms. Eric & I was talking last night about storms and we have been through a storm in our lives these past few years in trying to turn a church around to reach the next generation. But the point was that storms come in all of our lives and it is what we do in those storms. We moved into a trailer on church property to prepare ahead for what we saw coming and it helped us tremendously in our finances. We were talking about moving and what to do to get something bigger last night and he mentioned he didn't feel the storm was over yet. With the economic situation in our lives and the world right now he feels we ought to sit tight for a season. We refer to the trailer as our ARK and you know God does give us a way to "ride out" our storms. We have to listen to his voice and follow his leading. Storms will come , have come, or are going to come in our lives and we have to hold on tight to Jesus and let him lead us and guide us with every decision we make. We had a word given to us the first of this month in our lives that "today everything changes" and we have seen a lot of things change but even then til we see the storm is over you can't move too quickly. God has everything under his control and in our storms of life we need to seek him. Storms will come and they will go but God is always the same. He will never leave us or forsake us. He is constant and steady and our anchor is our storms. Hold tight to him and "ride out" your storm. It won't rain always.
