Making Disciples
One of the best rewards we have had in ministry is to see others rise up and answer the call of God in ministry that God has put on their life. We are to make disciples as Christians and pouring yourself into someone else and seeing them them listen to the Father and answer what he has called them to do and then walk through the process is the most rewarding part of ministry. I mentioned a "spiritual son" in post before - Christian Cleghorn came into our church on the coast of NC in Jan 2004 - newly married and one child and had moved to Hampstead NC out of the service in Jacksonville NC. He was from Assembly of God background in Texas before the service and his wife Bonnie was a new christian. God spoke to me that he had a call on Christian's life and it wasn't two weeks before Christian came to Eric and said he felt God calling him into the ministry and we helped him get into bible college in NC and then he graduated and is getting his Masters and pastoring in Butler, MO. right now. He got ordained Wednesday Night at Missouri District Council. It was truly special to be there and witness this occasion. Christian & Bonnie now have 4 children and are looking to the future with expectation of what God is going to do. We spent some time with them at Bass Pro Shop Wednesday afternoon and their family. They are doing good. God has great plans for them. Take time today and spend time with someone and put into their life. It is all about making disciples in the kingdom of God.
