Choices

God has given his human creation a powerful tool in their life and it is called human will. Everyday we wake up we make choices with that will. Some choices get us in lots of trouble and other choices are a solution to a problem. Either way we make choices all the time in our life. As we are on this journey called life we need to seek the counsel of God in our choices. We need to pray and ask God to lead us and guide us. He knows things we don't know at all times and seeking him for guidance is a very important part of everything we do. If we seek him we don't get answers at times we need , his word is a roadmap for us to follow. Does the choice we are making line up with what is said in his guide book of life? Do we have peace about the choices we are making? My father had a great piece of advice to give a while back and it is "What is the next right thing for me to do?"- sometimes the whole picture is not laid out in front of us but one step at a time is. Ask for direction and assurance in finding your way through life and ask what is the next right thing for me to do. This has helped me so much in the past few years of praying and seeking God for direction in many things. Sometimes the right choices are not something we really want to do but it might be the best for the whole situation we are facing. God will never lead us wrong - his ways are perfect but we are not. So we need him to help us in everything we do. Now on the other hand we don't need to ask whether we should brush our teeth in the mornings - that is something we know we should do. Seek God with all your choices and let him guide your path and decisions you make. Father does know best!!!
