Frugal
Today we live in a society that is so wasteful. My grandmother when she was alive kept every piece of tin foil , plastic bags(bread, rolls, etc..)and margarine bowls, plastic bowls and reused everything and sent food to our house in a lot of these things. Being thrifty and wise was something she taught me by watching her actions and sometimes today I think we need to be more like her. She came up in a a time as a child when things were hard and you had to stretch what you had but as good stewards of what God has blessed us with I think we should be more like this. I had a ladies meeting last night that got me thinking about being frugal. We did "homemade" facials with things you have around the house that you can use to maintain your skin with. It is amazing what you can use from home as ladies and make facials and masks with. Look it up sometime on internet , you will learn a lot. As mothers teaching the next generation how to live and take care of their lives we should be putting into them about being frugal and wise. The Bible teaches if we lack wisdom to ask the Father and he will give it. I believe that applies to all areas of our lives. My step-mother Celia Smith is very frugal - more than I ever will be probably - but she is a lot like my Grandmother in this way. She is very simple and she doesn't need a lot to make her happy. She had used the same dryer for I don't know how many years until the last little while. She loves God with all her heart and her happiness doesn't come from the next thing she can acquire - unless of course it is a really good sale. I love sales myself when I can go shopping which isn't very often. We really had fun at our meeting and the ladies loved learning how to take care of their skin with everyday items they have all the time. Let us all learn to use "what we have" and make the most of it and be content. It truly is a good lesson to learn.
